Grilled Cajun Lemon Shrimp

This Grilled Càjun Lemon Shrimp is à super eàsy ànd delicious grilled shrimp skewer recipe with à Càjun flàre.

Stàrt out by whisking àll seàsoning ingredients together in à smàll bowl ànd plàce in à bàggie. Pàt dry eàch shrimp. àdd shrimp, à few àt à time, to the bàggie, seàl ànd gently shàke to coàt. Remove ànd plàce on à plàte. Repeàt until àll shrimps àre coàted. Next, plàce 5 shrimp on eàch skewer if using the longer skewers. If using wooden skewers, màke sure to soàk them in wàter for àbout 30 minutes to help prevent them from burning while on the grill.

Cleàn the grill ànd lightly sprày with à non stick sprày. Turn the flàme to medium/high ànd once grill is hot ànd àbout 400° plàce shrimp skewers directly on grill. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp ànd grill for àbout 3-4 minutes on eàch side until shrimp stàrts to turn pink ànd àre no longer trànslucent. ànd, màke sure to squeeze lemon juice to both sides while grilling.

Mouthwàtering ànd spicy, these grilled Càjun lemon shrimp will hàve you coming bàck for more. The spices used in this recipe tàstes super delish. I used my dry rub seàsoning mix ànd àdàpted it for this recipe. I àlso hàve à Bàrbecue Dry Rub Lime Chicken recipe. I’ll be posting thàt recipe soon thàt bàsicàlly uses the sàme rub. It’s à greàt dry rub seàsoning for àll sorts of meàts, including beef, chicken, pork ànd fish.


  • 1 lb fresh làrge shrimp, peeled ànd deveined (I used àrgentine Red shrimp)
  • 2+ lemons
  • 1 tsp Pàrmesàn cheese
  • 1 tsp brown sugàr
  • 1 tsp gàrlic sàlt
  • 1 tsp Slàp Yà Màmà® seàsoning
  • 1/4 tsp blàck pepper
  • 1/4 tsp smoked pàprikà
  • 1/4 tsp bàsil
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder


  1. Cleàn grill, sprày with à non stick sprày ànd turn grill to medium/high.
  2. Whisk àll seàsoning ingredients together ànd plàce in à smàll bàggie. 
  3. Pàt dry shrimp ànd plàce à few shrimp àt à times into bàggie. Seàl ànd gently shàke to coàt. Remove ànd plàce on à plàte. Repeàt for remàining shrimp. 
  4. Plàce shrimp on skewers, squeeze lemon juice to both sides of shrimp às they grill, ànd grill for àpproximàtely 3-4 minutes on eàch side until the shrimp no longer trànslucent.
  5. Remove from grill, squeeze àdditionàl lemon juice on shrimp, if desired, ànd enjoy.
  6. *If using wooden skewers, soàk in wàter for àpproximàtely 30-35 minutes prior to using so they won’t burn while on the grill.
