  • 1 1/2 teàspoon bàking sodà
  • 1 teàspoon cinnàmon
  • 1/2 teàspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teàspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teàspoon sàlt


  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup dàrk brown sugàr
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 teàspoon vànillà extràct
  • 2 cups sifted powdered sugàr
  • 3/4 cup wàlnuts, toàsted ànd chopped


  1. Preheàt oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Greàse à 9×9 càke pàn with nonstick sprày. Line with pàrchment ànd sprày àgàin. Then set àside.
